- Relevant public tenders are spread across 200+ German, Austrian and EU sources, and companies miss them.
- What I built
- An event-driven platform on Kotlin, Go and Kafka that ingests every notice, classifies it into 331 topics with Gemini AI and scores it against each company profile. Runs on GKE with CI/CD, auto-scaling and automated backups.
- Result
- 530k+ notices analysed, ~8.5k new every week, 500+ active users.

- Challenge
- A legacy Ruby on Rails monolith limited how fast the platform could grow and ship.
- What I built
- A Kotlin/Spring Boot service architecture following CQRS, Kafka messaging, Elasticsearch full-text search, Helm deployments on Kubernetes and a rebuilt Next.js frontend.
- Result
- Monolith split into 6 independent services with zero downtime, handling 100k+ requests per month.

- Challenge
- Beach volleyball games get organized in scattered group chats, and clubs manage members in spreadsheets.
- What I built
- A Flutter app for finding games and skill-rated partners, plus a Next.js workspace for clubs — both on Go and Rust services with PostgreSQL and Meilisearch search, running on GKE.
- Result
- Two live products: the OnSand player app and OnSand Cloud for clubs, which processes club data in the EU only.

About
I've been building software since 2016 — first as an engineer, today as an architect who still ships code. I work across the stack: interfaces in React and Next.js, services in Kotlin, Go or Rust, and the Kubernetes infrastructure they run on.
Teams bring me in when they need one person who can make the architecture decision and then carry it into production. Fewer handoffs, more ownership.
Alongside client work I build and run my own products, Auftrag One and OnSand, which keeps me close to real production problems.
When I'm not architecting cloud solutions, I'm exploring software innovation, playing beach volleyball, cycling through Berlin, capturing moments through photography, and learning Japanese with curiosity.
