About

From software engineer and solution architect to Technical Product Owner — why I keep product strategy, backlog and architecture under one roof.

Profile

Christian Rawe, smiling, in a dark blazer and white shirt

I've been building and owning software products since 2016 — first as a full-stack engineer, then as a Solution Architect, and today primarily as a Technical Product Owner. Instead of building isolated custom software off fixed requirement lists, I take ownership where product strategy and complex system architecture meet.

Teams bring me in when they need one person who can prioritize at eye level with leadership and domain stakeholders while understanding distributed systems, AI pipelines and cloud infrastructure deeply enough to steer engineering without translation loss.

Alongside client engagements, I build and run my own live products through my company evest.io UG — Auftrag One and OnSand. That keeps me grounded in real user discovery, operational reliability and budget decisions every day.

When I'm not shaping product roadmaps and cloud architectures, I'm playing beach volleyball, cycling through Berlin, capturing moments through photography, and learning Japanese with curiosity.

How I Lead Products

Three principles that guide both my client engagements and my own products.

Outcome over feature output
A shipped feature with no measurable impact on the workflow is just maintenance overhead. Every initiative starts with the concrete problem, the target metric and the smallest viable slice.
Backlog and architecture under one roof
Domain requirements and system boundaries cannot be separated. I write specifications and user stories with data models, service contracts and operations already thought through.
Founder-level accountability
Building my own SaaS and platform products means I think in total cost of ownership, time-to-market, GDPR compliance and long-term maintainability by your internal team.
